What's Inspected
The home inspector's service to the buyer is primarily one of education. The goal of the inspector is to provide the buyer or seller with a better understanding of the physical condition of the home in order that they can make a well-informed decision. It is also the inspector's role to keep his findings in perspective for the buyer or seller. The inspection lasts between 2-4 hours depending on the size of the home. After the inspection is completed, a report will be prepared, documenting the results of the inspection, along with digital photos of the areas of concern. The report will be available within 24 hours of the completion of the inspection.
A complete home inspection will cover all of the major systems of a house, including:
- Structure
- Exterior
- Roofing
- Electrical
- Heating
- Cooling
- Insulation
- Plumbing
- Interior
As a minimum, my inspection will meet the Standards of Practice of the InterNational Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI)
